xfs: exercise a failed CoW conversion during writeback

iomap_add_to_ioend() submits the pending ioend through
->writeback_submit() before allocating a new one for the current
range. For XFS, xfs_writeback_submit() converts the ioend's CoW
extents via xfs_reflink_convert_cow() before submitting the bio; if
that conversion fails, ->writeback_submit() completes the ioend with
an error and returns it. A kernel bug left the stale ioend behind in
wpc->wb_ctx, which iomap_writepages() then submitted a second time,
corrupting XFS's ip->i_ioend_list.

Exercise this path with the wb_cow_convert_error error tag: reflink a
file, dirty several widely separated ranges of the shared extent so
that a single writepages() call has to build and submit more than one
ioend, inject the error, and let writeback run. On a kernel without
the fix this reliably hits a "list_add double add" WARN from
xfs_end_bio(); on a fixed kernel writeback just fails cleanly.

This requires the wb_cow_convert_error XFS error tag; the test cleanly
not-runs on kernels without it.

Reviewed-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>
Reviewed-by: Zorro Lang <zlang@kernel.org>
Signed-off-by: Andrea Parri <parri.andrea@gmail.com>
Signed-off-by: Zorro Lang <zlang@kernel.org>

btrfs: test graceful ENOMEM handling in synchronous dirops

Recently, we added some patches to allow btrfs to handle -ENOMEM errors
in dir-morphing codepaths [1]. As part of that, we added fault injection
knobs to a few functions so we could test that error handling.

Add a test case that uses the fail_function facility to inject -ENOMEM
into btrfs_prealloc_delayed_dir_index() and confirms that a
dir-modifying operation returns ENOMEM to userspace without aborting the
filesystem:

- mkdir fails with ENOMEM (not EROFS),
- a subsequent create succeeds (fs is not read-only/aborted),
- a mount cycle runs orphan cleanup and the automatic fsck confirms
 consistency.

The injection is global, so any other btrfs dir-entry creation can
consume it first -- including the test's own $tmp redirection when /tmp
is itself on btrfs. Pre-create that file and retry until the mkdir takes
the error.

Add generic _require_function_error_injection / _inject_function_error /
_uninject_function_error helpers to common/inject for driving the kernel
fail_function interface.

[1]: https://lore.kernel.org/linux-btrfs/20260825-btrfs-enomem-v4-0-b9363fa8714a@kernel.org/

Assisted-by: LLM
Reviewed-by: Zorro Lang <zlang@kernel.org>
Reviewed-by: Filipe Manana <fdmanana@suse.com>
Signed-off-by: Jeff Layton <jlayton@kernel.org>
Signed-off-by: Zorro Lang <zlang@kernel.org>

btrfs: test defrag --nocomp converts compressed extents to uncompressed

"btrfs filesystem defragment --nocomp" rewrites already compressed file
data as uncompressed data. The kernel flag was added by commit
009b2056cb25 ("btrfs: defrag: add flag to force no-compression") in
v6.17, and the userspace option shipped in btrfs-progs v6.16. There is
no test for it.

Add a test that writes compressible data in 128K blocks on a filesystem
mounted with compress=zlib, runs defragment with --nocomp, and uses the
FIEMAP encoded flag to verify that no extent remains compressed. Also
verify that the file contents are unchanged after a remount. Keeping
compression enabled throughout the test confirms that the defrag ioctl
takes precedence over the mount option.

Regular defrag deliberately leaves maximum-sized compressed extents
alone, as asserted by btrfs/259. Creating maximum-sized compressed
extents therefore ensures that an implementation which silently treats
--nocomp as regular defrag fails the test.

Check support in two stages: first require btrfs-progs to advertise
--nocomp, then invoke it on a 10-byte file to verify that the kernel
accepts the flag. Kernels with the unknown-flag validation from commit
173431b274a9 return EOPNOTSUPP when NOCOMPRESS is unavailable. Kernels
predating that validation may silently ignore the flag and fail the
semantic checks instead of skipping.

Signed-off-by: Dhruva Gole <goledhruva@gmail.com>
Reviewed-by: Qu Wenruo <wqu@suse.com>
Signed-off-by: Zorro Lang <zlang@kernel.org>
"

This warning
leaks into test output and breaks generic/062 and xfs/083 (via
_scratch_populate).

Add a _setfattr_restore helper that takes the restore source as its first
argument, filters out just the expected warning line, and preserves any
other (unexpected) stderr. First it inspects the inodes directly with xfs_db: the clone
must still be flagged reflink after the exchange (the donor carrying
the flag too is the conservative outcome of the fix and is harmless).
Then it writes to the clone and verifies after a mount cycle that the
original file's data is intact, i.e. the write was redirected through
CoW.

The kernel fix "xfs: fix exchange-range reflink flag clearing issue
with INO1_WRITTEN" refuses the reflink flag exchange whenever
FILE1_WRITTEN is requested, which makes this test pass.

Reported-by: Lin Jiapeng(TencentOS Red Team) <jiapenglin@tencent.com>
Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/amgekiNKKoAdACnc@infradead.org
Suggested-by: Zorro Lang <zlang@kernel.org>
Suggested-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>
Suggested-by: "Darrick J.
