"message": "gfs2: Fix data loss during inode evict\n\nWhen gfs2_evict_inode() is called on an inode with unwritten data in the\npage cache, the page cache needs to be written before it can be\ntruncated. This doesn\u0027t always happen. Fix that by changing\ngfs2_evict_inode() to always either call evict_linked_inode() or\nevict_unlinked_inode().\n\nInside evict_unlinked_inode(), first check if the inode is dirty. If it\nis, make sure the inode glock is held and write back the data and\nmetadata. If it isn\u0027t, skip those steps.\n\nAlso, make sure that gfs2_evict_inode() calls gfs2_evict_inode() and\nevict_unlinked_inode() only if ip-\u003ei_gl is not NULL; this avoids\nunnecessary complications there.\n\nFixes xfstest generic/211.\n\nSigned-off-by: Andreas Gruenbacher \u003cagruenba@redhat.com\u003e\n",
