.SH "SYNOPSIS"
.sp
.nf
\fBgit\fR \fBwhatchanged\fR \fI<option>\fR\&...\:
.fi
.SH "WARNING"
.sp
\fBgit\fR \fBwhatchanged\fR has been deprecated and is scheduled for removal in a future version of Git, as it is merely \fBgit\fR \fBlog\fR with different defaults\&.
.SH "DESCRIPTION"
.sp
Shows commit logs and diff output each commit introduces\&.
.sp
New users are encouraged to use \fBgit-log\fR(1) instead\&. The \fBwhatchanged\fR command is essentially the same as \fBgit-log\fR(1) but defaults to showing the raw format diff output and skipping merges:
.sp
.if n \{\
.RS 4
.\}
.nf
git log \-\-raw \-\-no\-merges
.fi
.if n \{\
.RE

.sp
The command is primarily kept for historical reasons; fingers of many people who learned Git long before \fBgit\fR \fBlog\fR was invented by reading the Linux kernel mailing list are trained to type it\&.
