of a 8-bit binary number <code>'00001110'</code> references 3-bits at position 4
(most significant bit) to position 2 (least significant bit). To achieve this the
<a class="schema_link" href="Range_schema.html" title="Range">Range</a> schema references a <code>start</code> position (referencing the least significant bit),
in this case 2, and the <code>width</code> to scan (towards the most significant bit), in this case 3.</p></div>
